Good morning!
I meant to post about my 3-day trip up north, earlier, but here it is!
We got up, early, Friday morning, to do some last-minute packing, and to take our pups over to day care (yes, there is such thing as day care for dogs! Super helpful if you need your dog to learn to socialize, more, and get plenty of exercise). Our nearby doggy day care does boarding, so that's where our pups were while we were gone.
Thankfully, I also had time to get some breakfast in me, as well as coffee (just not enough!)
This is the only jewelry I had with me for this trip. It was my mother's before she gave it to me. I was going to bring along my rings, as well, but my dumb brain completely forgot to grab them as we left the house 🤣. Whoops!
Car trip selfie, I guess, lol!
It rained pretty much the entire drive to the hotel! And because of that, it made the trip very exhausting. It was also cold, by the time we got there....
We stopped only twice as it was a 5-hour drive (Lord, help me....), one of those stops being for lunch. What's funny about that is that I didn't think I was hungry until I had a fish fillet sandwich in my hand, lol! I practically ended up scarfing that thing down without even realizing it 😂!
It was about 40-something-degrees Fahrenheit when we arrived at the hotel (which was very nice!). I hated it...the cold, I mean. I've hated cold weather since I was probably 13. And yet, once summer comes, I literally can't stand the heat, lol!
I must be a weakling, but this is something I can't help 🙃.
Gold patterned Converse shoes that I got, years ago, from my sister. I rarely wear these shoes...I probably should start, more often, lol!
The hotel room had a full-sized mirror, thankfully, so I was able to get this photo of my traveling outfit. Hopefully, in the future, I can get myself a mirror like this so that I'll be able to take more and better outfit photos.
That night, we met up with one of my aunts for dinner. We went to an Irish place, I think, and I got a pizza. Yes, yes, I know, it looks very boring. But I've never liked many pizza toppings, so I've always been a cheese-only pizza kind of person.
After dinner, we hung out in the hotel lobby for a couple of hours, just talking and catching up with family. I also had this mini thing of vanilla Haagan-Dazs ice cream for dessert. It was actually quite good!
I know what you're thinking. "If it was so cold, up there, why have ice cream?" Simply, I wanted some kind of dessert after dinner, but every other sweet the lobby had was chocolate, and sadly, I can't really do chocolate, anymore.
Well, that's all for Part 1 on my trip, up north! See you in Part 2!
